For our international headquarters in Vienna, Austria we are seeking a 1 Senior Controller (m/w/x) The Senior Controller plays a key role in supporting business performance by enabling data-driven decision-making and ensuring strong financial stewardship across our customers and products.
He/She will oversee the planning, monitoring, and reporting of all relevant financial and performance metrics. The role reports to the Head of Finance Austria.
Key Responsibilities:
o Ensure timely and qualitative submissions accross the financial processes: Month-End Closing, Forecasts, Budget, 5Y Plan.
o Enhance forecast quality and accuracy; proactively flag risks and opportunities
o Ensure proper controls, monitoring, completeness, and accuracy of all Customer investments.
o Act as a strong business partner - especially to Sales - proactively suggesting commercial adjustments, improvements, and challenging the business perspective where needed.
o Monitor customer performance KPIs, identify trends, and analyze variances vs budget, forecast, and prior year.
o Improve customer performance through ROI analysis, price and mix evaluations, financial modelling.
o Ensure financial reporting integrity through strong internal controls aligned with corporate policies.
o Manage and participate in ad hoc analyses and strategic projects.
o Process ownership across departments: establishing and driving cross-functional processes to increase efficiency and ensure smooth collaboration.
What you bring:
o Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
o Strong expertise in controlling, planning and financial governance (min 5 years).
o Experience in FMCG/HORECA multinational environments is preferred.
o High personal courage and resilience in the face of resistance or pressure.
o Analytical thinker with strong conceptual, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
o Driven and committed in delivering results; highly motivated, with a can-do attitude.
o Strong stakeholder management skills.
o Solid proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), financial planning software (SAP preferably), and BI tools.
o Excellent knowledge of German and English both verbally and in writing.
