About the Project This PhD position is part of a DFG-funded project which aims to clarify the classification of Neotropical net-winged beetles (Coleoptera: Lycidae) affected by paedomorphosis – a syndrome where adult individuals retain juvenile traits. Using a large-scale phylogenomic approach combined with integrative morphological investigations, the project seeks to identify diagnostic traits that distinguish these lineages. We aim to determine the timing of their divergence and explore the evolutionary drivers behind their convergent morphologies within the framework of a biogeographical model. The research associate will have the opportunity to work towards a PhD through the University of Potsdam, while being based at the Senckenberg German Entomological Institute (SDEI) in Müncheberg. The successful candidate will engage in diverse scientific activities spanning fieldwork, phylogenomics, museum-based research, biogeographic analyses, and bioinformatics. Monitors operation of the mechanical / electrical operating equipment. 3. Our technology development team is embedded in the GlobalFoundries' ULP CMOS product line in our state-of-the-art 300 mm wafer fab (Fab1) in Dresden, Germany.  This position is established to strengthen our Next-Generation FDX technology development team, with a clear objective to advance our FDX platform toward the next-generation FDSOI node.  In the role of Technology Development Lead, you will leverage your expertise to guide a team of Process Integrators and assume technical ownership for the development of a process flow that delivers industry-leading performance to our customers.  Your Job   - Physical and electrical characterization of advanced semiconductor features. - Design and analysis of experiments to improve specific performance parameters. - Coordinate technology development tasks in a volume production infrastructure. - Collaborate in cross functional teams to address and solve highly cross-linked technology challenges for optimized quality, performance, and manufacturability. - Networks with research institutes to explore opportunities bridging leading scientific research into industry applications. - Collaborates with customers and drive technical solutions to support customer needs. - Defines and runs technical feasibility studies. - Provides technical support to other teams and departments. - Communicates and presents project results and updates to key stakeholders, both internal and external to GlobalFoundries.  Required Qualifications   - M.Sc. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or other relevant technical discipline is required; PhD will be beneficial. - Profound knowledge of modern CMOS process integration and its key techniques, such as CVD, lithography, RIE, etc. - 5+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor industry. - Strong knowledge in Test Chip Design, T/O, Design Rules, Technology-Design Interactions. - Solid foundation in statistics, data analysis techniques and tools.  - Ability to work effectively in high-performance cross-functional teams as well as independently.  - Both, the ability to work in high-performance cross-functional teams as well as to work independently is a prerequisite.  - Excellent English skills are required (at least C1); proficiency in the German language is preferred.  - Strong interpersonal skills.  We Offer   The position is open-ended and to be filled as soon as possible.    Attractive compensation components:   13th month salary, bonus payments, assistance with relocation to Dresden.   Flexible working time arrangements:   Family friendly part-time models, trust flextime, salary conversion into free time   Diverse opportunities for further development:   Career stages for every job, internal qualification offers, promotion of external educational qualifications   Focus on your health:   On-site gym and beach volleyball court, bike leasing, subsidized employee restaurant   Corporate culture:   Cooperation at eye level - everyone is on first name terms with us, budget for individual team events, social commitment via GlobalGives      You can find more benefits in detail at  hier   Diversity is part of our corporate DNA.
