Our client is a well-established player in the meat industry with production sites in Mechelen, Lebbeke and Temse. The company supplies high-quality beef and pork to the national market and is known for its strong commitment to quality and food safety.
As a Sales Export Manager, you will have the opportunity to build a completely new business unit focused on export to Europe and Asia. You will be supported by experienced colleagues and will be given significant responsibility and room to take initiative.
Your responsibilities
- Identify and approach potential partners and key accounts
- Build long-term relationships and expand the client portfolio
- Implement commercial action plans in line with the company’s strategy
- Collect and analyze market information to detect opportunities
- Represent the company at international trade fairs and conferences
- Travel regularly to your assigned regions
- Work mainly from the headquarters located in Temse

- You have at least 5 years of international B2B commercial experience in the food industry. Affinity with the meat sector is considered an asset.
- You are a strong communicator, able to handle pressure and make decisions.
- You think strategically, negotiate effectively, and work independently.
- You are entrepreneurial and able to translate opportunities into concrete actions.
- You are fluent in English and French. Knowledge of Spanish or German is a plus.

Description
- You work mostly from the office, but for sure be present in several events each year such as fairs and also visit your main clients occasionally in different European countries
- You take over an existing portfolio of distributors in Europe: you reach out to connect with them, insure a highly qualitative follow up, select the best items for their customer base, follow up on orders, work on forecast, etc.
- You build a map for new markets with potential to prospect and get in touch with local distributors to reach independent stores, concept stores, toy stores, etc. and build long term partnerships
- You report to the Export Manager.
- An excellent level of English
- Ideally you also speak Spanish or an Asian language
- You have a degree in a relevant field (Business, Economics, etc.) or a relevant experience
- Most importantly: you are a driven person, goal oriented, autonomous, hands-on, proactive. A real entrepreneur!
