We cover digital and mixed-signal process technologies down to 5nm. We have a cutting edge tool set that focuses on electrical fault isolation and localization, and on physical fault localization. Our engineers are able to pin down any fault (due to manufacturing, design or the combination of the two) in any chip in any technology!
Your Team The Electrical Failure Analysis team plays a critical role in identifying, isolating, and resolving electrical faults in semiconductor devices. Their work spans across product development, qualification, yield enhancement, and customer complaint resolution.
They collaborate closely with Design, Test, Product, and Quality Engineering teams. Key steps in the process of failure analysis are electrical verification of the faulty behavior of a chip through product specific test sequences, analyze signal behaviors, use dedicated fault localization techniques like PEM (Photo Emission Microscopy), OBIRCH (Optical Beam Induced Resistance Change), LVP (Laser Voltage Probing), SDL (Soft Defect Localization) and nanoprobing. Your objective is to evaluate whether the laser used in these techniques affects the electrical behavior or physical integrity of elementary devices from C16FF & C22FDX process technologies.
Based on the findings, recommendations can be developed for optimizing laser scanner parameters to improve fault localization accuracy and ensure reliable interpretation of laser assisted techniques results on C16FF, C22FDX and fu...
