You will work on a mature scientific software product used in pharma- and life-science labs worldwide. Our current codebase is primarily built in C# and .NET using WPF. Your role will be to understand and develop this established application responsibly, while helping us improve its architecture, maintainability and long-term technical direction. Working model The position is offered as a genuine four-day week with 32 working hours, distributed across four full working days. The regular non-working day will be agreed individually. The guaranteed annual gross salary for this 32-hour position is €52,000–€58,000, depending on experience and qualifications, and is paid in 12 equal monthly instalments. My research focuses on identifying metabolic vulnerabilities in pancreatic cancer and other entities across the different stages of the metastatic cascade. To uncover novel therapeutic targets for organ metastasis, we employ state-of-the-art technologies, including in vitro and in vivo CRISPR screening approaches. In addition, my laboratory integrates comprehensive metabolomics and lipidomics analyses of cancer cells, tumor tissues, and other biological samples to characterize dynamic metabolic adaptations and capture the mechanisms underlying metabolic plasticity during cancer progression. Funding for this position is provided by the “UMG2032 - Excellence through Focus” project, funded by zukunft.niedersachsen, the joint science funding program of the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture and the Volkswagen Foundation. What awaits you in this role: - You develop strategy, technical design and architectural guidelines for our company-wide IAM and Active Directory environment - Together with your IAM colleagues, you drive the transformation to modern identity and directory technologies – including shared ownership of relevant roadmap workstreams and regular communication of status and progress - Identifying innovative technology solutions that reduce costs, increase efficiency and minimise risks is equally part of your responsibilities - You support engineering and operations teams through targeted expert guidance during the implementation of developed solutions - In close collaboration with Audit, Risk, Compliance and Security teams, you address open items and consistently prioritise necessary remediation measures - Through presentations, workshops and the creation of content, you actively contribute to knowledge sharing around IAM standards and best practices What you bring to the table: - A completed university degree in information technology as well as deep expertise in Microsoft Active Directory, DNS and relevant Microsoft technologies - Strong expertise in integrating on-premises AD with cloud environments such as MS Entra ID for hybrid identity management - Proficiency in PowerShell or comparable scripting languages for automation and audit queries - Experience with multi-factor authentication, privileged account management and ideally IT/OT architectures – preferably from the chemical industry - Relevant certifications (Identity and Access Administrator, CISSP or CISM) are a clear advantage - Strong communication and influencing skills as well as the ability to independently learn new technologies and act in a solution-oriented manner under pressure - Good German language skills and fluent English, both written and spoken This position is generally to be filled on a full-time basis.
