About the position

Position as PhD Research Fellow in Solid-state electrochemistry available at the Centre for Materials Science and Nanotechnology (SMN), Department of Chemistry, University of Oslo.

Starting date no later than October 1, 2026.

The fellowship period is three years.

A fourth year maybe considered and it will involve 25 percent of other career-promoting work. Other career-promoting work may consist of teaching, supervision, and/or research assistance. This is dependent upon the qualification of the applicant and the current needs of the department.

No one can be appointed for more than one PhD Research Fellowship period at the University of Oslo.

Job description

The PhD Research Fellow is a part of HYDROGENi, a national Norwegian Centre for Environment-friendly Energy Research (FME) dedicated to the research and innovations within hydrogen and ammonia crucial for reaching the 2030 and 2050 goals of the Norwegian hydrogen road map. The Centre is coordinated by SINTEF, with University of Oslo (UiO) as one of the partners.

The PhD candidate will be affiliated with the Electrochemistry group at the Department of Chemistry which consists of around 25 highly dedicated professors, researchers, postdocs, PhD Research Fellows, engineers, admin, master and exchange students. The group is located in the new Life Science Building which offers modern research facilities. The group is among the world-leading in solid-state electrochemistry and materials science of proton-conducting oxides for electrochemical energy conversion technologies such as proton ceramic fuel cells and electrolysers. These technologies are central in the transition to renewable energy and in the electrification of industrial processes.

The PhD Research Fellowship will broadly address mixed ionic/electronic conducting oxygen/steam electrodes, where the group have extensive activities in novel perovskites combined with exsolution of metal nanoparticles. The goal of the PhD will be to seek mechanistic insight into the electrode polarization processes as well as strategies for improving performance by optimization of composition, microstructure, and the interface to the proton-conducting electrolyte. The content of the PhD Research Fellowship can be tailored according to the qualifications and academic interest of top candidates including the possibility for combining experimental, simulation and theoretical methods.

The PhD Research Fellowship will exist in an innovative environment with the possibility for collaboration with a range of academic and development projects on related topics, in particular with CoorsTek Membrane Sciences AS which is a leading technology developer of proton ceramic electrochemical cells and partner in the HYDROGENi project. The Electrochemistry group is part of SMN, which is an interdisciplinary research centre in materials science and nanotechnology at UiO. The Centre is an international leader in basic science within functional materials and nanoscience, with applications within renewable energy, materials science, and nanotechnology.

Required qualifications:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in solid state or inorganic chemistry, materials chemistry, materials physics or materials science
• Foreign completed degree (M.Sc.-level) corresponding to a minimum of four years in the Norwegian educational system
• Fluent oral and written communication skills in English
• For 4-year position: sufficient oral and written communication skills in a Scandinavian language to contribute to teaching at the department’s bachelor courses

Candidates without a master’s degree have until September 30, 2026 to complete the final exam.

Desired qualifications:

• Experience in synthesis, fabrication and characterization of electrochemical cells (e.g., solid oxide fuel cells) or materials therein.
• Experience with analysis of electrical, kinetic or electrochemical properties, e.g., using isotope exchange techniques or electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).
• Experience with advanced structural and spectroscopic characterization using synchrotron beam-line facilities.

The position

At the Norwegian College of Fishery Science, Faculty of Biosciences, Fisheries and Economics (BFE) at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, there is a vacant position as a postdoctoral researcher affiliated with the Microalgae & Microbiomes Research Group. The position is for a fixed term of 3 years. It is a prerequisite that the applicant can carry out the project over the full course of the employment period. No person may hold more than one fixed term position as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the same institution.

The postdoctoral project focuses on programmable marine microbiomes and mechanistic interactions within the diatom phycosphere, with particular emphasis on synthetic biology, microbial ecology, and molecular interactions between marine microalgae and associated bacteria. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of experimental model systems for studying metabolite exchange, microbial community interactions, and engineered microbial consortia in marine environments.

The position is affiliated with ongoing research activities in marine microbiology, synthetic biology, and systems biology at UiT. The research combines microbiology, molecular biology, microbial cultivation, genome-informed molecular ecology, synthetic biology, and multi-omics approaches to better understand and engineer marine microbial ecosystems relevant to carbon cycling and marine biotechnology.

As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will have the opportunity to advance your scientific career and further qualify for academic positions. If you do not already have the educational competence that meets the requirements for an Associate Professor position in Norway, UiT will arrange such competence during the employment period.

The workplace is at UiT in Tromsø. You must be able to start in the position within a reasonable time after receiving the offer.

The project/position's field of research

The postdoctoral researcher will develop and apply experimental approaches for studying mechanistic interactions between marine microalgae and associated bacterial communities within the diatom phycosphere. The project will focus on the development of programmable and experimentally tractable microbial model systems using synthetic biology, microbial cultivation, and molecular biology approaches.

The successful candidate will work with cultivation and engineering of marine bacteria and microalgae, construction of synthetic microbial consortia, and investigation of microbial metabolite exchange relevant to nutrient cycling and carbon fixation in marine ecosystems. The project may also involve transcriptomics, genomics, metabolomics, and bioinformatics analyses to investigate molecular interactions between diatoms and associated microorganisms.

The position is part of a broader research program focused on programmable marine microbiomes, marine microbial ecology, and biotechnology applications relevant to climate resilience, sustainable aquaculture, and marine carbon cycling. The postdoctoral researcher will work in an interdisciplinary and international research environment and is expected to contribute actively to scientific publications, collaborative research activities, and external funding development.

You must submit a project proposal (max 2 pages) that describes how you scientifically can contribute to designing diatom phycosphere communities through the uses of engineered genetic circuits or other synthetic biology tools. The proposal should include your view on the state-of-the-art and opportunities for achievable but ground-breaking science with regards to engineering microbial consortia and non-traditional synthetic biology hosts. The proposal must include a progress plan.

Qualifications

Required qualifications: 

• A Norwegian doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign doctoral degree recognized as equivalent to a Norwegian PhD in microbiology, molecular biology, biotechnology, synthetic biology, marine biology, microbial ecology, systems biology, chemical engineering, bioengineering, or another relevant discipline. • Documented experience in experimental microbiology, molecular biology, and scientific publishing, including publication of research in peer reviewed international journals. Experience in one or more of the following areas is required:

  • molecular cloning and genetic engineering
  • microbial ecology
  • microbial co-cultivation systems

Desired qualifications: 

• Experience working with non-model microorganisms and/or developing molecular tools for environmental microorganisms is considered particularly advantageous.
• Experience with one or more of the following areas is considered an advantage:
  • microbial genomics, transcriptomics, or metagenomics
  • bioinformatics and analysis of omics datasets
  • metabolomics or analytical chemistry
  • microbial community analysis
  • programming/scripting in R, Python, or similar languages
  • systems biology or computational biology
• Knowledge of a Scandinavian language or willingness to learn Norwegian is considered an advantage.

The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary research team. Emphasis will also be placed on motivation, potential for research, scientific creativity, organizational skills, communication abilities, and personal suitability for the position.

In the assessment the main emphasis will be attached to the submitted works and the project proposal for the qualifying work. Emphasis shall also be attached to experience from popularization/dissemination and academic policy and administrative activity.

Project description

This position is part of The Norwegian Centre for Embodied AI (NCEI, https://www.ntnu.edu/web/ncei), one of Norway’s six national AI centres. NCEI brings together leading robotics and AI groups with key partners from across Norway with international collaborators to study how intelligence emerges from the interaction between body, computation, and environment, in various types of flying, ground-based, and aquatic robots. Our mission is to chart a generalisable path for physical AI and transform how robot morphology and autonomy are co-designed, enabling new generations of systems tailored to their operational environments and missions. You will join an international community with world-class facilities and strong collaborations across Norwegian universities, research institutes, industry, public agencies, and leading global institutions.

This postdoc position will focus on Ethics in Embodied AI. Embodied AI systems introduce unique ethical concerns due to their physical presence and ability to interact with the world. As these systems advance, we have a responsibility to address issues ranging from safety and security to social impacts and environmental sustainability.

More specifically, the postdoc will work on the following topics, in collaboration with the rest of the team:

• Identify and analyze key ethical issues raised by Embodied AI across various application domains, including safety, reliability, accountability for autonomous actions, and privacy
• Investigate social and environmental impacts, such as potential job displacement, social dependency, and the environmental sustainability of robot production and operation
• Develop security and regulatory insights, addressing risks like hacking and weaponization, while exploring how legal frameworks must evolve to establish liability
• Develop the NCEI Ethics Framework, creating an "Ethics toolbox" with core statements and analytical tools to guide future development
• Promote transparency and stakeholder engagement, ensuring diverse voices are heard in the design and deployment of Embodied AI
• Collaborate closely with the rest of the NCEI centre contributing to a successful integration of ethics research in the centre
• Foster global collaboration to address cross-border ethical and regulatory challenges
• Document results, publish in top venues, and contribute to the center's ethical guidelines

The main purpose of a postdoctoral fellowship is to provide the candidates with enhanced skills to pursue a scientific top position within or beyond academia. To promote a strategic career path, all postdoctoral research fellows are required to submit a professional development plan no later than one month after commencement of the postdoctoral period.

The Department of Informatics (IFI) is one of nine departments belonging to the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. IFI is Norway’s largest university department for general education and research in Computer Science and related topics. 

The Department has more than 1800 students on bachelor level, 600 master students, and over 240 PhDs and postdocs. The overall staff of the Department is close to 370 employees, about 280 of these in full time positions. The full time tenured academic staff is 75, mostly Full/Associate Professors.

 

CVO Groeipunt is met zijn gevarieerde opleidingsaanbod en zijn meer dan 18 000 cursisten, één van de belangrijke spelers in het landschap van het volwassenenonderwijs in Vlaanderen. Het centrum heeft vestigingsplaatsen in heel de provincie Oost-Vlaanderen.

CVO Groeipunt is op zoek naar een praktijkgerichte leerkracht voor de opleiding bouw, met specialisatie in metselen en voor vloeren leggen en wandbetegeling.
Je komt terecht in een team van vakspecialisten en begeleidt volwassenen die zich willen omscholen of verdiepen in een bouwtechnisch beroep.
De opdracht start met ingang van 1 september 2026.
Het gaat om een voltijdse opdracht (24/24).
De lesplaats is CVO Groeipunt campus Lokeren.
Lesmomenten gaan overdag door van 8u tot 17u en is in een opdracht voor een overheidsinstantie.
Dit is een opdracht van 5 dagen per week.
De volledige opdracht wordt op een korte tijd gegeven (ongeveer 12 weken).

Profiel:

● Je hebt minstens een 7de jaar bouw of bouwtechnieken afgerond in het secundair onderwijs.
● Je hebt praktijkervaring in metselen, vloeren en wandbetegeling.
● Je bent vlot met digitale tools (mails, tekstverwerking, rekenbladen…). Onze administratie en communicatie verlopen volledig digitaal.
● Je hebt oog voor orde, netheid en structuur in je werk en omgeving.
● Je bent een teamspeler die ook graag initiatief neemt ten voordele van de opleiding.
● Je begeleidt cursisten met constructieve feedback en streeft naar hun groei in het leerproces.
● Ervaring in lesgeven is mooi meegenomen, maar geen must – jouw motivatie en drive om met volwassenen te werken tellen evenveel!
● Je straalt beroepsfierheid, enthousiasme en goesting uit.
● Je engageert je tot het bijwonen van vergaderingen en het professionaliseren op digitaal of onderwijskundig vlak.

Aanpak:

● Het team heeft een eigen methode uitgewerkt om per lesmoment cursisten op verschillende niveaus te begeleiden en evalueren. We staan altijd open voor een positieve inbreng van de kandidaat.
● We hechten veel belang aan duidelijke afspraken en goed overleg over het gebruik van het atelier bouw. Daarbij staat orde, netheid en structuur voorop.

In het bezit zijn van minstens een diploma 7de jaar bouw en/of 6de jaar bouwtechnieken én bakken goesting om met volwassenen te werken.

Psykisk helse- og rusklinikken omfatter UNNs samlede tilbud innenfor psykisk helsevern og rusbehandling for voksne i Ofoten, Sør-Troms, Midt-Troms og Nord-Troms. Klinikken har p.t. ca. 950 årsverk og et nettobudsjett på 1 000 mill. kr.

Avdeling nord er en avdeling i Psykisk helse- og rusklinikken. Avdelingen har p.t. ca. 220 årsverk og et nettobudsjett på 230 mill.kr. Avdelingen består av fire seksjoner som er fordelt på Senter for Psykisk helse og rusbehandling Nord-Troms som en seksjon, samt tre seksjoner i Senter for Psykisk helse og rusbehandling Tromsø.

Vi har ledig vikariat i 100% stilling for overlege i Senter for Psykisk helse og rusbehandling Tromsø.

SPHR/DPS Tromsø er lokalisert med virksomhet i Tromsø og på Storsteinnes. Opptaksområdet er kommunene Tromsø, Karlsøy, Balsfjord, Storfjord og Lyngen. Senteret er veien inn til psykisk helsevern og rusbehandling. Samhandling med kommunene og spesialiserte sykehusfunksjoner er sentralt. Tilbudene innen senteret består av poliklinikk, ambulant akutteam, FACT/ACT og døgnenheter. Senteret har videre tre regionale tilbud, medikamentfritt behandlingstilbud, e-behandling og OCD-behandling.   

Senteret består av

• SPHR Tromsø - poliklinikk: Voksenpsykiatrisk poliklinikk Tromsø inkl. regionalt OCD-team og rusteam, Voksenpsykiatrisk poliklinikk Storsteinnes, Ambulant akutteam og FACT/ACT
• SPHR Tromsø - døgn: To døgnenheter i Tromsø, Døgn 1 og Døgn 2, og en døgnenhet på Storsteinnes, totalt 31 plasser
• Døgn 3 Recoveryenhet: Døgnenhet i Tromsø med 8 døgnplasser hvorav 3 er regionale døgnplasser øremerket medikamentfrie behandlingsforløp

Senteret er preget av kontinuerlig utvikling og har høyt faglig fokus med engasjerte og stabile medarbeidere. 

Arbeidsplassering i senteret vil være ved døgnseksjonen i Tromsø. Det er nært samarbeid mellom ledere, behandlere og personell knyttet til pasientflyt og forløp internt i seksjonen og senteret.

Utviklings- og forskningsavdelingen ved UNN søker en faglig engasjert og løsningsorientert datahåndterer/IT-rådgiver for kliniske forskningsprosjekter.

Stillingen er plassert i seksjon for Forskningsstøtte i Digitaliserings- og utviklingssenteret. Seksjonen har 14 medarbeidere med bred kompetanse innen forskningsstøtte, forskningsadministrasjon, metodikk, kursvirksomhet, datafangst og implementering av regionale og nasjonale forskningsrutiner. Du blir med andre ord del av et høykompetent og spennende fagmiljø!

Arbeidsoppgaver

Stillingen inngår i avdelingens/seksjonens forskningsstøttemiljø og vil samarbeide tett med forskere, kliniske monitorer, klinisk personell og IT-miljøer.  Du vil ha et særlig ansvar for utvikling, drift og vedlikehold av datafangstløsninger i prosjekter for forskere i alle helseforetak i Helse Nord, i tråd med gjeldende lover og retningslinjer. Arbeidet vil foregå i tett samarbeid med kliniske fagmiljøer, og innebærer bidrag ved gjennomføring av forskningsprosjekter. • delta i forvaltning og videreutvikling av avdelingens IT‑systemer, primært , utvikling, konfigurering og vedlikehold av elektroniske datafangstløsninger (eCRF), for kliniske forskningsprosjekter

Etterretningstjenesten – Viten om verden for vern av Norge

Etterretningstjenestens oppdrag er å samle inn informasjon og varsle om forhold i utlandet som kan true Norge og norske interesser.

For å understøtte tjenestens oppdrag er eiendom en grunnleggende innsatsfaktor. Vi ser etter en strukturert eiendomsforvalter som vil få ansvaret for å ivareta eiendomsregistrert til E-tjenesten samt tjenesten sine leie-og forvaltningsavtaler. For å lykkes i rollen ser vi for oss at du tar initativ og har gode samarbeidsevner, da du vil jobbe tett med kolleger på tvers av organisasjonen, men også med eksterne samarbeidspartnere og leverandører.

Som medarbeider i Etterretningstjenesten vil du bidra i vårt viktige samfunnsoppdrag, samt være en del av et miljø kjennetegnet av høy kompetanse og sterkt engasjement for fagfeltet. Vi er avhengige av mangfold i perspektiver og erfaringer for å løse våre oppdrag. Derfor ønsker vi å rekruttere medarbeidere fra ulike bakgrunner, med ulike livserfaringer til å jobbe hos oss.

Arbeidsoppgaver

• Sørge for at eiendomsregisteret til enhver tid er korrekt og oppdatert 
• Sørge for at oversikter over tildelt areal til enhver tid er oppdatert, samt bistå med grunnlag for nye eller endrede arealtildelinger
• Ivareta ulike leie- og forvaltningsavtaler, inkludert boliger og parkering, og bistå prognosearbeid, lage fakturagrunnlag samt ivareta brukerdialog
• Utføre forefallende oppgaver som inngår i seksjonens ansvarsområde
• Bistå seksjonen med oppfølging og koordinering av EBA-prosjekter

Kvalifikasjoner

Stillingen har følgende krav som må innfris for å bli vurdert som aktuell søker:

• Bachelorgrad eller utdanning på tilsvarende nivå (cand.-grader, tidl. ingeniørutdanninger o.l) eller omfang innen relevant fagområde. Relevant høyere utdanning og flerårig erfaring med god resultatoppnåelse vil kunne kompensere for utdanningskravet
• Erfaring og gode ferdigheter med ulike IKT-systemer, spesielt MS Office

I tillegg er det ønskelig om du har:

• Mastergrad innen relevant fagområde
• Relevant kurs innen eiendomsfaget
• Prosjektutdannelse/-kurs
• Arbeidserfaring fra porteføljearbeid innen eiendomsfaget
• God kjennskap til relevant lover, forskrifter og standarder innen fagfeltet
• Erfaring med Plania

Særskilte krav for stilling i Etterretningstjenesten: 

Søkere må tilfredsstille kravene til høyeste sikkerhetsklarering.

For ansettelse i Etterretningstjenesten kan man ikke ha annet enn norsk statsborgerskap ved ansettelsestidspunktet.

Stillingen er underlagt beordringsplikt, jf. forsvarsloven og forsvarstilsatteforskriften, som innebærer at du kan beordres til internasjonale operasjoner. Dette skjer normalt på grunnlag av villighet. Beordringsplikt medfører krav til medisinsk og fysisk skikkethet og grunnleggende engelskkunnskaper. Dersom du ikke oppfyller kravene har du mulighet til å søke dispensasjon.

Våre innkjøpere reiser ut i verden flere ganger i året, for å finne de mest spennende og inspirerende varene. Vi bestiller produktene i ønsket farge og utførelse, og kjøper dem direkte fra leverandørene. Dette gir oss et unikt vareutvalg med en rekke produkter du kun finner hos oss. Dette gjør også at vi har konkurransedyktige priser, samt et vareutvalg som glir sømløst inn i sesongens trender. Vi utvikler flere nye varepakker hver sesong, med fargepaletter og uttrykk som passer sammen som hånd i hanske, slik at du til enhver tid vil finne noe som passer akkurat din stil. På denne måten kan du mikse varer fra oss med det du allerede har, og variere interiøret ditt for å skape et hjem som både er trendy og personlig. Den første butikken vår åpnet allerede i 1979, i Sommerveita i Trondheim. Siden den gang har vareutvalget endret seg mye, men vi drar stadig nytte av vår lange og brede erfaring. I dag har vi totalt 64 butikker i tillegg til nettbutikk, og vi er over 500 blide ansatte som står klare til å ønske deg hjertelig velkommen til Kremmerhuset.
