Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the design of vacuum Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing innovative mechanical solutions that ensure reliability and high-performance operation of deposition systems, including chamber design, gas delivery, temperature spatial distribution, and vacuum integrity.
• Design, model, and optimize vacuum equipment components, focusing on process chambers, seals, and gas flow systems.
• Collaborate with process engineering and automation teams to integrate mechanical designs with process, electrical, and control requirements.
• Conduct comprehensive thermal and structural analyses to verify the durability and performance of equipment when subjected to vacuum and regulated temperature environments.
• Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing and assembly.
• Evaluate and select appropriate materials and components to ensure compatibility with vacuum, elevated temperatures, and corrosion resistance.
• Acquire subsystems; oversee prototyping, fabrication, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
• Document design parameters, test results, and modifications.
• Stay at the forefront of advanced vacuum technology, materials, and engineering standards relevant to ALD systems.
Required Skills:
• Strong proficiency in mechanical design and CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Deep understanding of vacuum feedthrough engineering principles, including rotation, translation, sensing, and gas delivery systems.
• Experience with high-temperature materials and thermal management in vacuum environments.
• Ability to conduct finite element analysis (FEA) for structural and thermal performance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Adaptability to dynamic technology standards and willingness to learn new methods and tools.
Candidates should have a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, with hands-on experience in vacuum system design and fabrication. Prior experience with thin-film deposition technology is desirable.
