- Strong clinical competence and good communication skills
- Good command of English and motivation to learn Norwegian (free language training is provided)

Location and benefits
The hospital is located in Northern Norway, a region known for its dramatic landscape and strong local communities. The area offers a practical and well-balanced everyday life, with short commuting distances, good access to nature, and a safe environment for families. The pace of life allows for a healthy balance between work and leisure, and outdoor activities such as hiking and skiing are easily accessible throughout the year. The region also offers unique natural phenomena such as the midnight sun in summer and the northern lights in winter, experienced as part of everyday life rather than as a tourist attraction.
In addition, Northern Norway offers a range of financial incentives designed to make living and working in the region more attractive. These include:
- Free kindergarten
- 12 hours of free after-school care per week
- Up to NOK 60,000 per year in student loan repayment
- Approximately NOK 20,000 per year in tax relief
- Lower electricity prices
For a family with two children, these measures can amount to a total annual financial benefit of approximately NOK 190,000.
