Department of Green Technology (IGT) invites applications for one position as Postdoc in Medical Biotechnology for a 4-year period. The starting date is October 1st 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is in the Biotechnology Section (BIOTECH).
The successful candidate will be expected to engage in research in fields falling within, or in strong synergy with, one or more of the following research areas at BIOTECH related to Medical Biotechnology:
Medical biotechnology, including engineering of mammalian cells
Tissue scaffold engineering and characterization
Immune cells engineering and cancer research
Other closely related fields
Experience in one or more of the above areas is therefore highly valued for this position. The successful candidate is expected to initiate and obtain funding for competitive research activities.

What we expect:
Qualifications
The candidate must have a PhD or equivalent at the time of employment.
The candidate is expected to have experience within some of the following areas and should be able to see themselves working with the following tasks:
Research and/or education in biotechnology, biopolymers, spectroscopy, and/or related areas.
Experience with the execution of wet lab experiments for cell engineering, cell and gene therapy research or tissue engineering.
Experience with molecular biology techniques, bacterial cell culture, recombinant protein expression and purification.
Experience working with mammalian cell culture and/or ex vivo animal or human tissues, and potentially with in vivo models.
Proficiency in analytical and molecular techniques such as real-time PCR, ELISAs, SDS-PAGE, DNA electrophoresis, histology processing, immunostaining, multicolor flow cytometry, cell sorting and transcriptomic/metabolic profiling.
Experience with confocal microscopy and imaging of mammalian cells, as well as animal or human tissues.
Experience with biomaterial characterization and hydrogel-based systems for biomedical applications.
Collaborating with companies/industry or other international research groups, e.g. evidenced by international exchanges.
A highly interdisciplinary mind-set will be highly valued.

Employment terms
Employment as a post doc is a 4-year temporary position.
Employment as a postdoc requires academic qualifications at PhD level at the time of employment. Employment will be in accordance with the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations for academics in the state including the associated circular on the protocol for the job structure for academic staff at Danish universities and the provisions for postdoc as described therein.
Salary is determined in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including the content of the position, responsibilities, and qualification requirements. Do you enjoy working on complex technology where different systems have to work together perfectly?
Are you an experienced engineer with a background in electronics, systems engineering, embedded systems, RF or electrical engineering? And would you like to contribute to a unique, long-term R&D project?
For a high-tech R&D project in Mol, Belgium, we are looking for a Senior Electronics & Systems Engineer to support the development, integration and commissioning of electronics for a new superconducting linear accelerator.
You do not necessarily need previous experience with particle accelerators. We are particularly interested in engineers with a strong background in LLRF, systems engineering, embedded electronics or electrical/electronics engineering, combined with experience in complex R&D environments.
Your role
- You will join a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the electronics supporting the accelerator.
- Your role will be broad: you will work on the development of electronic systems, help integrate different technical subsystems and make sure that these systems work together as one reliable and well-functioning solution.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the engineering, integration and commissioning of electronic systems;
- Contributing to systems related to Low-Level RF (LLRF) and beam diagnostics;
- Translating technical needs into clear requirements, technical specifications and acceptance criteria;
- Supporting system architecture and the definition of complex technical systems;
- Supporting the integration and verification of different subsystems;
- Developing and testing simulation models and prototypes to validate technical concepts;

Your background
We are looking for a senior engineer with a broad technical perspective. You do not need to have every skill listed below. A strong background in one or more of these areas is particularly relevant:
LLRF / RF
- Experience with Low-Level RF systems;
- Experience with RF electronics or RF control systems;
- Experience with accelerator technology is a strong asset.
Systems Engineering
- Experience with system architecture, requirements and technical specifications;
- Experience with system integration, verification and testing;
- Comfortable working across different technical subsystems and disciplines.
Embedded / Electronics
- Experience with embedded systems engineering;
- Experience with electronics, FPGA and/or firmware;
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C or C++.
Electrical / Electronics Engineering
- A strong background in electrical engineering, electronics or a related discipline;
- Experience developing or integrating complex technical systems in an industrial or research-oriented R&D environment.
In addition, you:
- hold a Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics or a related technical field or equivalent by experience;
- are comfortable working independently and taking initiative;
- can switch easily between different technical topics, priorities and requirements;

- have excellent written and spoken English.

- You accept bookings on customer request
- You make bookings yourself of containers and wagons on trains and you send the booking instructions and agreements to Order Management
- You inform and make the customer acquainted with the Customer Portal so that he is able to makes his own bookings. You assist the customer in every step of the booking process.
