Research scientist at The Department of Biomedicine, 

A full-time temporary 2-year position as a researcher is available at the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Biomedicine. The position is externally financed by the Trond Mohn Forskningstiftelse Starting Grant and is part of the project “PhysiolASIC”. The preferred starting date of the position is 01.10.2026. 

 

About the project/work tasks:

The PhysiolASIC project aims to identify and characterise interaction partners of acid-sensing ion channels (ASICs) in the vertebrate central nervous system, and to develop protein-based tools targeting these channels. 

Qualifications and personal qualities:

• The applicant must hold a relevant Norwegian PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in biomedical sciences, neuroscience
• The applicant must have broad hands-on experience in investigating protein structure-function relatioships, e.g. mutagenesis combined with experimental assays of function, documented by a leading role in peer-reviewed publication(s).
• The applicant must have extensive practical experience with whole-cell and single-channel patch-clamp recordings, eveident in e.g. theses or peer-reviewed publications.
• The applicant must have verifiable experience in preparing primary cultures of neurons.
• Broad hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques (mutagenesis, cloning, etc) is a requirement.
• Experience with biochemical characterisation of proteins (expression using eukaryotic systems, purification, sample quality analysis) is an advantage.
• The applicant must be motivated and responsible, have a great work capacity and enthusiasm for research.
• The applicant is required to demonstrate a strong scientific publication record in peer-reviewed international journals, including substantial contributions to manuscript preparation and scientific writing.
• Personal skills, including abilities to work independently and cooperate within a research group, as well as mentor junior colleagues, will be evaluated.
• The candidate must be fluent in written and oral English.
• Experience with international collaboration is an advantage.

Researcher

At the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Clinical Dentistry, a full-time temporary position as researcher is available. The position is external financed by the European Commision and for the time being a part of the project “BioFACTORy”. The project has a temporary financing for 1 years.

About the project/work tasks:

The position is allocated to tasks aimed for the development of innovative tissue engineering approaches to cell-based regenerative therapy for oral and maxillofacial tissues. The main objective of the project is to engineer a cell laden composite scaffolds for bone regeneration by leveraging an additive manufacturing technology, composite biomaterials and adult stem cells. Specific aims are to:

• Design multi-phasic scaffold architecture and optimal biomaterial compositions compatible for additive manufacturing methods for bone tissue engineering.
• Develop and optimize 3D bioprinting protocol combining rigid and gel-based biomaterials.
• Validate the bone regenerative capacity of the developed approach using in vivo bone defect models.

Qualifications and personal qualities:

• The applicant must hold a relevant Norwegian PhD or equivalent doctoral degree
• Applicants with degrees in Dentistry or Dental Science are encouraged to apply.
• The successful applicant must have experience in in vitro somatic/stem cell culture, molecular biological assessment including 3D bioimaging and bioinformatics for omics data, in vivo bone regeneration models, and histological techniques.
• Applicants with experience in one or more of additive manufacturing and 3D cell culture models, the synthesis of bioactive ceramics and glass-based biomaterials will be advantageous.
• Personal skills, including abilities to work independently and cooperate within a research group will be evaluated 
• Experience with international and industrial collaboration is an advantage.

HUOLTOASENTAJA (2) JA TYÖNJOHTAJA – VAKITUISEEN TYÖSUHTEESEEN PÄIJÄT-HÄMEESEEN Kasvava ja vakavarainen energia- ja lämpöpumppualan yritys etsii pikaisesti kahta huoltoasentajaa sekä yhtä työnjohtajaa. Työskentelemme modernien lämmitysratkaisujen, lämpöpumppujärjestelmien sekä niiden huolto- ja vikakorjauspalveluiden parissa. Asiakaskuntamme koostuu pääasiassa kotitalouksista, taloyhtiöistä ja yrityksistä Päijät-Hämeen alueella. HUOLTOASENTAJA Työtehtäviisi kuuluvat: * Lämpöpumppujen huollot ja vikakorjaukset * Vianetsintä ja korjaustoimenpiteet * Asiakaskäynnit ja tekninen asiakaspalvelu * Huoltotöiden dokumentointi Toivomme sinulta: * Teknistä osaamista tai kokemusta huolto- ja asennustöistä * Itsenäistä työotetta ja ongelmanratkaisukykyä * Asiakaspalveluhenkisyyttä * B-ajokorttia Eduksi katsotaan: * Kylmäainepätevyys * Kokemus lämpöpumpuista, kylmälaitteista tai LVI-alasta * Sähkö- tai automaatioalan tuntemus TYÖNJOHTAJA Haemme myös työnjohtajaa vastaamaan huoltotoiminnan päivittäisestä johtamisesta. Tehtäviisi kuuluu: * Huoltoasentajien työn suunnittelu ja koordinointi * Asiakasyhteistyö * Työtilausten hallinta ja aikataulutus * Laadunvarmistus ja työn sujuvuudesta huolehtiminen * Huoltoliiketoiminnan kehittäminen Odotamme sinulta: * Kokemusta tekniseltä alalta * Kykyä johtaa ihmisiä ja organisoida toimintaa * Ratkaisukeskeistä ja vastuullista työotetta * Kokemus työnjohdosta katsotaan vahvaksi eduksi Jos seuraavat asiat ovat hallussa, saatat olla etsimämme henkilö Hakeaksesi tätä työpaikkaa, sinulla tulee olla: * Kokemusta alalta - etsimme ammattilaista, jolta asiat sujuvat eikä tarvitse olla vahtimassa * Voimassa olevat ammattikortit (työturvallisuuskortti) - jos ei ole, niin asia on hoidettava kuntoon ennen töiden aloitusta. * Hyvä suomen kielen taito - työnjohtokieli on suomi. * Korkea työmoraali – työ on itsenäistä ja vastaat itse työnjäljestäsi. * Sosiaaliset taidot kunnossa – tulet toimeen ihmisten kanssa tiukoissakin paikoissa.
