About the research project  The Biomass satellite carrying the ground-breaking P-band synthetic aperture radar (SAR) was launched on 29 April 2025 and recently finished its commissioning phase. This 5-year ESA Earth Explorer mission will produce much-needed global forest biomass data using its polarimetric and tomographic radar capabilities. Our team is responsible for the algorithms which derive the biomass data product. The post-doc project is about extending the biomass algorithm to also include data-driven, machine learning approaches. The biomass data product will be validated by data from an international network of ground-truth forest sites (GEO-TREES, geo-trees.org). The developed algorithms thus extend and complement the current generation of the biomass data product. A large-scale training data set will be generated for the biomass algorithm. The training data will be based on other remote sensing data which estimate forest biomass, e.g. from airborne and spaceborne laser scanners, since no in-situ based biomass data with global coverage exist. Who we are looking for The following requirements are mandatory: • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, in remote sensing, physics, electrical engineering, or related disciplines. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English • Experience in processing and analyzing remote sensing data • Experience in selecting, implementing, developing, testing, optimizing, benchmarking and validating custom machine learning algorithms for multi-dimensional remote sensing applications • Good social skills, meaning that you enjoy collaborating with others in an interdisciplinary and international environment The following experience will strengthen your application: • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline • Experience with terrestrial mapping applications, in particular of forests • Experience with large geo-spatial & satellite datasets • Experience from working with polarimetric, interferometric, and/or tomographic SAR data • Experience from working with airborne and spaceborne lidar data • Experience from teaching at University level. What you will do • Develop, implement, optimize, train, test, benchmark and validate one or more machine learning algorithms for generation of above-ground biomass density from Biomass satellite data • Download and process large remote sensing data sets from radar, optical and lidar sensors together with auxiliary data to generate AI-ready datasets. Prepare large training data sets from other satellite remote sensing instruments and auxiliary data • Present results at conferences and meetings • Write manuscripts and publish papers in scientific journals • Supervise master’s and/or doctoral students to a certain extent • Possibility to engage in teaching at undergraduate/master’s level The position is meritorious for future roles in academia, industry, or the public sector. When this microbial teamwork fails, organic acids can accumulate after disturbances and reduce system efficiency. As a doctoral student in this project, you will investigate cell communication in these closely interacting microbial communities. By combining advanced anaerobic cultivation techniques with omics-based approaches (metatranscriptomics and metaproteomics), you will uncover the molecular mechanisms that enable microbial cooperation. Ullensvang Fruktlager SA is a packing house located in the eastern part of the fruit growing district of Hardanger. We sort and pack plums, apples and pears on behalf of our fruit growers.

We are currently hiring seasonal workers from the EEC/EU member states to take part in this season's production.

Starting date of the season is in the beginning/middle of August. From then and until approximately the end of September/middle of October we have vacancies of durations ranging between 4-8 weeks.

Work tasks include quality checking, sorting and packing fruit at our production lines.

No prior formal qualifications are needed, although knowledge of and interest in the fruit growing industry is an advantage. Training will be given.

Kriminalomsorgens samfunnsoppdrag er å gjennomføre varetektsfengsling og straffereaksjoner på en måte som er betryggende for samfunnet og som motvirker straffbare handlinger. Målet vårt er at den domfelte etter soning skal velge å leve et kriminalitetsfritt liv. Vår visjon er «Straff som endrer» og våre verdier er: trygghet, åpenhet og nytenking som er førende for vår atferd og som organisasjon. Les mer om vår virksomhetsstrategi her. Kriminalomsorgen består av Kriminalomsorgsdirektoratet (KDI), Kriminalomsorgens høyskole og utdanningssenter (KRUS) og fem regioner med cirka 60 lokale fengsler og friomsorgskontor.

Region sørvest omfatter fengsler- og friomsorgskontor i Rogaland og Agder, med rundt 900 ansatte. Regionadministrasjonen ligger i Sandnes.

Om stillinga 

Vi søkjer ny kollega til ei fast rådgivarstilling (100 %) i divisjonen. Stillinga har oppgåver innan sakshandsaming i avdeling for utanlandsk høgare utdanning I. Avdelinga har ansvar for godkjenningsordningane for utanlandsk høgare utdanning og utanlandsk høgare yrkesfagleg utdanning (fagskoleutdanning). Snarleg tiltreding er ønskjeleg, og arbeidsstaden er i Oslo. 

Kven er vi?

Divisjon for godkjenning og opptak i HK-dir er godkjenningsmyndighet for utanlandsk utdanning, med ansvar for Samordna opptak. Vi er eit nasjonalt kompetansesenter for utanlandsk utdanning, og koordinerer, gir råd og rettleier om utanlandsk utdanning og dei norske godkjenningsordningane.  

Divisjonen forvaltar fire godkjenningsordningar for utanlandsk utdanning og handsamar årleg over 15 000 søknadar om godkjenning av utanlandsk høgare utdanning, yrkesfagleg utdanning og profesjonsgodkjenning for lærarar og styrarar/pedagogiske leiarar i barnehage. Divisjonen tilbyr også ei intervjubasert godkjenningsordning for personar utan verifiserbar dokumentasjon.

Vi har oversikt over norsk og internasjonal godkjenningspraksis og tek vare på pliktene til Noreg og interesser på området som representant i ENIC-NARIC-nettverka av nasjonale godkjenningsmyndigheiter. Divisjonen er også nasjonalt kontaktpunkt for yrkeskvalifikasjonsdirektivet.  

Arbeidsoppgåver vil mellom anna vere

• sakshandsaming av søknader om godkjenning av utanlandsk utdanning og opptak til høgare utdanning. I dette ligg også bidrag til utgreiing, kvalitetssikring, forvalting, drift og vidareutvikling av godkjenningsordningane og opptaket.

I tillegg kan det vere aktuelt med andre arbeidsoppgåver, avhengig av kompetansen til den einskilde:

• deltaking i prosjekt og internasjonalt samarbeid
• vidareutvikling av HK-dirs godkjenningsordningar og det norske opptakssystem, medrekna digitalisering og samarbeide på tvers i divisjonen og med andre aktørar på godkjennings-/opptaksfeltet
• andre arbeidsoppgåver innan divisjonens portefølje ved behov 

Kva kvalifikasjonar treng vi?

Vi krev at du:

• har høgare utdanning, minimum bachelorgrad. Relevant arbeidserfaring kan kompensere for manglande formell utdanning
• meistrer norsk og engelsk som arbeidsspråk, både munnleg og skriftleg
• har relevant sakshandsamarerfaring frå vurdering av utanlandsk utdanning
• har gode evner til å samarbeid, samtidig som du kan jobbe sjølvstendig
• jobbar strukturert og effektivt, samtidig som du er løysingsorientert

Om stillingen

Ved Avdeling for strategi og virksomhetsstyring, Seksjon for innovasjon og forvaltning, er det ledig en fast stilling som førstekonsulent.

Vi søker en IT-medarbeider til førstelinjesupport som skal bidra med varierte oppgaver innen IKT-tjenester. Stillingen innebærer å være et kontaktpunkt i virksomhetens brukerstøtte og en viktig teknisk ressurs for studenter, ansatte og eksterne brukere, både fysisk og digitalt. Det legges vekt på god serviceinnstilling, gode samarbeidsevner og evne til å kommunisere tydelig med brukere.

Stillingen vil være stedsplassert ved Politihøgskolens campus i Stavern.

Arbeidsoppgaver

• Yte teknisk IT-support på 1. linje, eksempelvis feilsøking og problemløsning knyttet til maskin, programvare, mobilenheter og AV-utstyr.
• Håndtere henvendelser i supportsystem (mottak, registrering, oppfølging og dokumentasjon), og bidra til utvikling og forbedring av IT-tjenester, rutiner og brukerstøttesystemer.
• Ansvar for rådgivning, bestilling, installasjon, vedlikehold og forvaltning av IKT-utstyr som PC og mobil.
• Andre relevante arbeidsoppgaver innen fagområdet må påregnes.

Kvalifikasjoner

Dette må du ha for å være kvalifisert:

• Fagbrev innen IKT-fag eller relevant høyre utdanning. Relevant og dokumentert erfaring kan kompensere for manglende formell utdanning. 
• Erfaring med teknisk IT-support, inkludert brukerstøtte og sluttbrukerkontakt. 
• Erfaring med feilsøking, problemløsning og støtte på ulike IKT-systemer. 
• Gode norsk- og engelsk kunnskaper, både muntlig og skriftlig.

Det er også ønskelig med:

• Kunnskap om Service Now
• Erfaring med MS 365 og MAC
• Erfaring med systemer bruk i universitet og høgskolesektoren
• Kunnskap om anskaffelser og rammeavtaler 
• Kunnskap om forbedring og videreutvikling av eksisterende teknologi, systemer og arbeidsprosesser
   

Du må ha plettfri vandel og være skikket for tjeneste i politiet og politiattest (uttømmende og utvidet) må innhentes ved ev. ansettelse jfr. politiloven § 18 og politiregisterloven § 41.
