The position is required by the established regulatory framework as it is part of the system of internal controls (2nd line of defense) that the Bank must have in place. Supervising the onboarding of clients to ensure completeness of the account opening documentation. • Assist in the review of higher risk clients including PEPs, dormant accounts, clients under surveillance, incomplete accounts etc. • Keep abreast of developments in the relevant legislations. • Assist in developing KYC and AML/CFT/Sanctions policies and procedures in line with applicable regulatory and Eurobank Group requirements. • Conduct controls on activities carried out by the first line of defense and, as the second line of defense, verify compliance by the Bank with all the AML/CFT/Sanctions professional obligations. • Maintain ongoing communication with representatives of the Bank's units in order to discuss the AML/KYC/CFT implications of existing and new products and processes/policies/procedures, as necessary. • Control compliance with the professional obligations applicable to branches and majority-owned subsidiaries by the Bank in Luxembourg and abroad.
