The Fabrication Support team at DTU Nanolab is seeking two Process Generalist for permanent positions. 

As a Process Generalist in the Fabrication Support team you will be working in a highly advanced cleanroom environment. In this role, you will support and advise students and researchers at DTU and external users on fabrication processes, as well as train users in the operation of state-of-the-art semiconductor processing equipment. You will also collaborate closely with industrial partners to realize their devices, designing and executing complete fabrication processes to meet customer requirements.

The job
A significant part of your working day will be spent in the DTU Nanolab cleanroom. We are looking for a person who already has substantial experience in advanced micro-fabrication in a cleanroom environment You should enjoy helping and teaching students and other facility users to operate advanced tools. You have great attention to detail and a structured approach to developing and fine-tuning fabrication processes.

Our expectations of you
We expect that you have a master or PhD in engineering, physics or similar technical relevant. We also expect that you are already skilled in essential nano- and microfabrication techniques such as

  • UV lithography
  • Thin film deposition
  • Deep reactive ion etching
  • Scanning electron microscopy

We also expect that you

  • Can work independently on given tasks
  • Will systematically document process development results
  • Enjoy working on projects with the rest of the team
  • Have excellent communication skills in English

Machine Learning Scientist for Weather Forecasting

The Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) is seeking a machine learning scientist to develop next-generation data-driven models for weather forecasting. You will work at the intersection of machine learning and numerical weather prediction, contributing to models and systems that are developed with a clear path towards operational use.



Your Role At DMI, you will apply modern machine learning techniques to complex, real-world forecasting problems. A key part of the role is working at the interface between research and operations turning ideas and prototypes into robust, scalable solutions that can be used in practice.

You will:

  • Develop machine learning models for weather forecasting
  • Work with large-scale, high-resolution spatio-temporal datasets
  • Combine data-driven approaches with physical models
  • Contribute to forecasting systems that are used in practice
You will be working in an environment with strong domain expertise, modern ML tooling, and access to large datasets and computational resources.

As part of our team, you will also engage in DMI’s international collaborations contributing to the development of next-generation machine learning-based forecasting models. You will work with leading partners across Europe and contribute to advancing data-driven approaches to high-resolution weather forecasting, helping bring new methods closer to operational use.



Qualifications and Experience We expect you to have:

  • A Master's or Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics, environmental sciences, physics, data science, or a related field
  • Strong experience with machine learning with solid understanding of core methods and tools
  • Solid programming skills and experience with scientific programming in languages such as Python
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX
  • Experience working in Linux environments


Additionally, it would be an advantage if you have:

  • Experience with spatio-temporal modelling or geophysical data
  • Experience with probabilistic forecasting and uncertainty estimation
  • Experience with numerical weather prediction systems or similar large-scale fluid modelling systems
  • Practical experience building, testing, and deploying machine learning models
  • Experience working with large datasets and building end-to-end ML pipelines
  • Familiarity with Fortran or other high-performance scientific computing languages
  • Experience with scientific computing and modelling of physical systems
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, MLFlow, or HPC environments

About the Weather Models Unit You will join the Weather Models Unit, a team of 23 dedicated scientists who design, develop, and operate Denmark’s weather prediction systems. Technician/Chemist/Engineer to Centra Analytical Hub - DTU Chemical Engineering

We are looking for a high-level technician or a chemist or an engineer with solid background and specialization in instrumental chemical analysis. 

Our ambition is to develop a central analytical hub serving teaching activities in the Department as well as research activities across the different research units and you will have an instrumental role in this challenging and versatile task.

Responsibilities and Tasks 
You will:

  • Support in developing and maintaining a wide array of chromatographic and spectroscopic separations for chemical and biochemical processes.
  • Support in developing and maintaining a wide array of methods for biomass and materials characterization within biotechnology, catalytic, polymer and physical chemistry.
  • Support in developing analytical and sample preparation protocols.
  • Develop, maintain and update a database for all analytical methodologies of the hub.
  • Supervise the operation of and maintain the analytical units of the hub and monitor the use of equipment.
  • Train project students and new employees on sample preparation, protocols and use of equipment.
  • Ensure a smooth, uniform and reproducible analytical experience.

Qualifications
We are looking for a high-level technician or a chemist or an engineer with a specialization in instrumental chemical analysis or equivalent qualifications with preferably more than 5 years practical experience within chemical and biochemical analytics (HPLC, GC, MS, TOC etc).

Our large Pilot Plant resides in the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at DTU. It is a cross-functional matrix organization serving its approx. 300 employees and many students. Besides education and research, we support technology and process development within the industry and academic world. We consider us to be a world class chemical, biochemical and pharmaceutical pilot plant with more than 700 m2 pilot hall area and a 500 m2 expansion project in progress. The existing facility collects more than 30 industrial scale pilot plant set-ups representing all chemical and biochemical unit operations, and is supported by our associated laboratories and our skilled workshop.

Part-time Entrepreneur in Residence - DTU Chemical Engineering

DTU Chemical and Biochemical Engineering (KT) invites applications for a part-time Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EiR) to support and strengthen the department’s research-based innovation and entrepreneurship activities. The contract is initially for two years.

KT has a long tradition of strong industry collaboration and impactful research. As part of a strategic effort to further translate research into societal and industrial value, the department is expanding its innovation ecosystem by supporting early‑stage ideas, technology maturation, and the creation of research‑based startups. The Entrepreneur‑in‑Residence will play a key enabling role in this effort with a focus on identifying potential project ideas and maturing them.

Role and responsibilities
Working closely with faculty, researchers, and department leadership, the Entrepreneur‑in‑Residence will:

  • Support early‑stage innovation projects emerging from research at KT, helping teams move from scientific results toward viable applications.
  • Advise researchers, PhD students, and postdocs on commercialisation pathways, including market fit, value propositions, and go‑to‑market considerations.
  • Act as a sparring partner for research‑based startups, including spin‑outs and pre‑spin‑out projects.
  • Contribute to innovation workshops, venture‑building activities, and mentoring, engaging both researchers and students.
  • Help identify and mature high‑risk, high‑potential ideas that may not yet be ready for traditional funding mechanisms.
  • Serve as a bridge between academic research, industry needs, and entrepreneurial practice.

Desired background 
We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Strong hands‑on experience in entrepreneurship, startup development, or technology commercialization, ideally linked to science‑ or engineering‑based ventures.
  • Experience working at the interface between research and application, for example in deep‑tech, materials, process technology, biotech, medtech, energy, or sustainability.
  • Ability to engage constructively with academic researchers and understand research‑driven innovation dynamics.
  • A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with funding, IP, partnerships, or scaling of early‑stage technologies is an advantage.

A formal academic background is welcome but not required; practical entrepreneurial experience is key.
