Department of Green Technology (IGT) invites applications for one position as Postdoc in Medical Biotechnology for a 4-year period. The starting date is October 1st 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is in the Biotechnology Section (BIOTECH).

The successful candidate will be expected to engage in research in fields falling within, or in strong synergy with, one or more of the following research areas at BIOTECH related to Medical Biotechnology: 

  • Medical biotechnology, including engineering of mammalian cells

  • Tissue scaffold engineering and characterization

  • Immune cells engineering and cancer research

  • Other closely related fields

Experience in one or more of the above areas is therefore highly valued for this position. The successful candidate is expected to initiate and obtain funding for competitive research activities.

What we expect:

Qualifications
The candidate must have a PhD or equivalent at the time of employment.

The candidate is expected to have experience within some of the following areas and should be able to see themselves working with the following tasks:

  • Research and/or education in biotechnology, biopolymers, spectroscopy, and/or related areas. 

  • Experience with the execution of wet lab experiments for cell engineering, cell and gene therapy research or tissue engineering.

  • Experience with molecular biology techniques, bacterial cell culture, recombinant protein expression and purification.

  • Experience working with mammalian cell culture and/or ex vivo animal or human tissues, and potentially with in vivo models. 

  • Proficiency in analytical and molecular techniques such as real-time PCR, ELISAs, SDS-PAGE, DNA electrophoresis, histology processing, immunostaining, multicolor flow cytometry, cell sorting and transcriptomic/metabolic profiling. 

  • Experience with confocal microscopy and imaging of mammalian cells, as well as animal or human tissues.

  • Experience with biomaterial characterization and hydrogel-based systems for biomedical applications.

  • Collaborating with companies/industry or other international research groups, e.g. evidenced by international exchanges.

  • A highly interdisciplinary mind-set will be highly valued.

  • To evaluate, discuss and present the results of findings internally and externally

  • To publish results in peer-reviewed journals of high impact factor 

  • Support laboratory process, including instrumentation maintenance, training of new researchers, and improvement of laboratory worflows.

  • Participate to the general organization of the research labs.

Teaching in existing courses at IGT will be expected. Experience in and dedication to teaching (and mentoring) tasks will be highly merited.

Employment terms 

Employment as a post doc is a 4-year temporary position.  

Employment as a postdoc requires academic qualifications at PhD level at the time of employment. Employment will be in accordance with the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations for academics in the state including the associated circular on the protocol for the job structure for academic staff at Danish universities and the provisions for postdoc as described therein.

Technoloog medische beeldvorming - 2025-024

Als medisch beeldvormingstechnoloog is het uw taak om patiënten te ondersteunen die een medische beeldvormingsonderzoek nodig hebben, zoals:

  • Conventionele radiologie, spijsvertering, urologie, kindergeneeskunde
  • CT-scanning
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
  • Diagnostische en interventionele angiografie

U voert technische en administratieve taken uit die verband houden met radiologie (zorg voor de patiënt, installatie en uitvoering van het onderzoek).

U bent patiëntgericht om de patiënt een zo bevredigend mogelijke ervaring te garanderen.

U werkt samen met de radioloog en assisteert bij bepaalde procedures. U ondersteunt de ontwikkeling van activiteiten en de implementatie van innovatieve technieken.

U levert kwaliteitsvolle beeldvorming aan de radioloog voor de ontwikkeling van de diagnose.

U assisteert de arts bij alle invasieve technieken.

De afdeling

De afdeling medische beeldvorming van het CHU Saint-Pierre voert jaarlijks meer dan 120.000 onderzoeken uit, waaronder voor kinderen en volwassenen.

Er zijn meerdere disciplines vertegenwoordigd, zoals conventionele radiologie, CT-scans, MRI, echografie en interventionele angiografie.

Het team bestaat uit ongeveer twintig technologen, onthaalmedewerkers en radiologen. De nadruk ligt op welwillende communicatie, solidariteit en de ontwikkeling van de expertise van elk individu ten voordele van de patiënt.

Toegangsvoorwaarden :

In het bezit zijn van:

  • Een bachelor in de medische beeldvorming OF een bachelor in de verpleegkunde met specialisatie medische beeldvorming
  • Een certificaat in stralingsbescherming (wettelijke verplichting FANC)
  • Een erkenning als technoloog in de medische beeldvorming
  • Elke andere opleiding of praktische ervaring in verband met de functie is een troef
  • Voldoen aan de wettelijke voorwaarden van tweetaligheid (geslaagde Selor-proef) : u hebt een goede kennis van de tweede landstaal of u bent bereid die te verwerven (intern georganiseerde taalcursussen tijdens de werkuren, mogelijkheid om een Selorpremie voor tweetaligheid van € 150 bruto te krijgen mits u het taalcertificaat van Selor artikel 10 kunt voorleggen).

  • Gelijkgestelde technologen die op dezelfde dienst werken met een functiecategorie Ific 13 of een barema CH2 1/2/3 social charter, ontvangen een bruto forfaitaire bonus van 500 euro per manand die niet wordt geïndexeerd voor voltijdse werknemers, in pro rata berekend voor deeltijds personeel.
  • Technologen, verpleegkundigen en gelijkgestelde technologen werkzaam op de afdeling radiologie ontvangen een jaarlijkse bonus van 2.500 euro bruto die niet wordt geïndexeerd onder de volgende cumulatieve voorwaarden :
  • 1. Naleving van de kwaliteitscriteria van het ziekenhuis and de referentienormen van het FANC ;
  • 2. Verwezenlijking van de jaarlijkse werkingsdoelstellingen van de dienst, die lokaal worden vastgesteld door elke directie. Die doelstellingen worden jaarlijks meegedeeld in december van het jaar n-1.

o voorkeurstarieven voor medische zorg in alle ziekenhuizen van het Irisnet (voor u, uw partner, uw familieleden ten laste in opgaande of neergaande lijn);

About the position

We have a vacancy for a 3-year PhD position at the Department of Social Work.

For a position as a PhD Candidate, the goal is a completed doctoral education up to an obtained doctoral degree. The Faculty of Social and Educational Sciences will be your employer.

The PhD position is connected to the interdisciplinary field of IMER (International Migrations and Ethnic Relations) and the research group of Migration and welfare: Welfare and migration - Department of social work - NTNU.

The PhD project will address the following research areas:

  • International migration
  • Migration strategies and policies
  • Ethnic relations

The successful applicant will conduct research with emphasis on opportunities and consequences of international migrations. The applicant will be affiliated the research group that consists of researchers within the field of social work, sociology, political science, economics, and anthropology.

Duties of the position


Required selection criteria

  • You must have a professionally relevant master’s degree in social work, sociology and political science, Europe/globalization studies or education to equivalent level.
  • The candidate should be familiar with one or more of the following fields of study: IMER studies (IMER-International migrations and ethnic relations), migration strategies and comparative analysis.
  • Your education must correspond to a five-year Norwegian degree programme, where normally 120 credits are obtained at master's level including a master’s thesis or equivalent work with a scope of at least 30 credits.
  • You must have a strong academic background from your previous studies and an average grade from the master's degree program, or equivalent education, which is equal to B or better compared with NTNU's grading scale. If you do not have letter grades from previous studies, you must have an equally good academic basis. If you have a weaker grade background, you may be assessed if you can document that you are particularly suitable for a PhD education. 
  • You must meet the requirements for admission to the PhD programme in Social Sciences
  • Applicants with a diploma from a foreign university are advised to provide an explanation of the university's grading system. Please note that these documents should be translated in English or in a Scandinavian language.
  • Fluent English skills are required.

Salary and conditions

In the position of PhD Candidate, code 1017, your gross salary will normally be NOK 550 800,- per annum depending on qualifications and seniority. A 2% statutory contribution to the State Pension Fund is deducted from the salary.

The period of employment is 3 years.

Appointment to a PhD position requires that you are admitted to the PhD programme in Social Sciences within three months of employment contract start date, and that you participate in an organized doctoral programme throughout the period of employment.

About the project

The PhD-project is part of an interdisciplinary research project on democratic resilience funded by NTNU Community: https://www.ntnu.edu/community. The project combines normative and empirical perspectives on welfare institutions and redistributive policies as means for strengthening democratic institutions and practices in the face of increasing polarization, decline in political trust and the rise of authoritarian populism. Our focus is on what some call the social model of democratic self-defense. We are interested in what normative commitments democratic government imply, how well strengthening democratic resilience by reducing social and economic inequality aligns with these commitments, and to what extent such an approach is reflected in the public rhetoric of Norwegian political elites.

The PhD research fellow is expected to address conceptual and normative challenges facing the social model of democratic self-defense and to explore what specific policies such a model might imply. In addition, the PhD research fellow will investigate to what extent elected elites in Norway use framing that aligns with the social model, in close cooperation with supervisors.

The precise direction and focus of the PhD project will be developed in the initial period of the fellowship in dialogue between the candidate and the supervisors.


Duties of the position

Complete the doctoral education until you obtain a doctorate. This includes:

  • Carry out research of good quality within the framework described above
  • Academic publications and popular science dissemination

Required selection criteria

Salary and conditions

In the position of PhD research fellow, code 1017, your gross salary will normally be NOK 550 800,- per annum depending on qualifications and seniority. A 2% statutory contribution to the State Pension Fund is deducted from the salary. 

The employment period is 3 years for the doctoral work.

The successful candidates will be granted conditional admission to the PhD programme in Historical and Cultural Studies when employed as a PhD research fellow at the Faculty of Humanities. It is a prerequisite that the requirements of the conditional admission are met within three months, and that you continue to participate in the organized doctoral programme for the remainder of the employment period.

As an employee at NTNU, it is important that you keep yourself up to date with academic and organizational changes and adapt to them.

For the necessary professional and social interaction, it is a prerequisite that you are physically present and available to the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies in Trondheim on a daily basis.

About the position

The Department of Geography and Social Anthropology invites candidates to apply for a three-year position as a Postdoctoral Fellow. The position gives an opportunity to consolidate your own research, and to develop and conduct and new project on a topic related to extreme and unseasonal heat.

The Postdoctoral Fellow, as an employee of the Department of Geography and Social Anthropology, will join a dynamic and collegial research environment that includes both early career and senior researchers working across a broad range of fields.

The candidate will be part of the research group Anthropologies of Sustainability stimulating international academic environment with dedicated colleagues willing to support with theoretical and practical experience to help you to develop your academic career. 

The postdoctoral fellowship position is a temporary position where the goal is to qualify for work in senior academic positions. The fellowship therefore provides the opportunity for someone in the immediate postdoctoral stage of their career to consolidate their research experience through developing publications, as well as their networks and professional skills. Your immediate leader will be the Head of Department.

Additionally, the postdoctoral candidate is expected to carry out new research on a project related to heat, as well as collaborate with the project leader and the research group to develop a larger project within the anthropology of heat. 


About the project 

Many parts of the world are experiencing more extreme heat and unseasonal heatwaves, which present challenges of multiple kinds. Such heat is a public health concern, an infrastructure challenge, an issue of preparedness, as well as an intimate bodily experience. Heat is, in other words, something that can affect all areas of human life and society.

The successful candidate may study one of several different areas within an anthropology of heat, depending on their background, expertise and interest. For instance: 

  • Readiness and response: how societies are organizing heat response, cooling centers, collective support during heat waves.
  • Heat, health and inequality: how extreme heat impacts unevenly. 
  • Heat, emotion, experience and narratives: how is uncommon heat experienced in bodily and emotional ways? How are these experiences narrated? 
  • Heat and compounding effects: how does heat combine with drought, unrest, austerity and other factors to cause “compound dispossession” (Harvey, Lien and Nyquist, 2024), and how do people respond? 
  • Unseasonal heat, agriculture, and livelihood: how do farmers respond to unseasonal heatwaves and the effects that new and unusual patterns of heat can have on their crops and livelihoods? 

Duties of the position

  • Carry out high-quality and independent research 
  • Develop and conduct a research project on a topic related to heat, heatwaves, extreme or unseasonal heat 
  • Participate actively in the activities of the research group and the department as a whole 
  • Publish and present research at conferences, workshops, internally and externally

Required selection criteria

  • You must have completed a Norwegian doctoral degree in social anthropology or a closely related field, or a corresponding foreign doctoral degree recognized as equivalent to a Norwegian PhD (dissertation must be approved by the deadline) 
  • You must have a professionally relevant background in social anthropology or a closely related relevant field 
  • Proven experience with research within environmental anthropology or a related field 
  • In-depth knowledge of ethnographic methods, including experience with independent long-term fieldwork 
  • You are able and enthusiastic to spend substantial periods of time conducting field research 
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral 
  • Experience with academic publishing

Your role

As a bus technician, you work on both diesel and electric buses. You combine mechanical skills with electrical and electronic knowledge, and you will have the opportunity to develop further in this area.

You will be part of a small, growing team and receive guidance from an experienced workshop manager.

What will you do?

You make sure buses stay in top technical condition:

  • Vehicle preparation: checking new buses arriving from the factory and installing required options
  • Electrical systems & diagnostics: working on electric buses, analysing faults and performing diagnostics using software and measuring tools
  • Maintenance & repairs: performing maintenance and repairs (mechanical and electrical), both planned and unexpected
  • Mechanics: repairs on brakes, suspension, drivetrain and other mechanical parts
  • Breakdowns & interventions: handling breakdowns and interventions on-site when needed
  • Administration: correctly registering completed work in the system

Who are you?

You are a technician who likes to learn and grow in a changing sector.

  • You have experience in a technical role (buses, trucks or vans is a plus), or you have strong electrical knowledge and are willing to learn
  • You have knowledge of both mechanics and electricity, and experience with diagnostics and electronic systems
  • You work independently, take responsibility and have a hands-on approach
  • You are interested in electric vehicles and want to develop further in this field
  • You have a category B driving licence
  • You are willing to be part of an on-call system
  • You can communicate well in English or Dutch

Nice to have

  • HEV technician certification (E2/E3) or willing to get it
  • Driving licence D

Practical

  • Working hours: daytime (Monday to Friday)
  • Regular travel for breakdowns, mainly during working hours

Je bouwt duurzame relaties uit met bedrijven, stichtingen, sponsors, schenkers en andere maatschappelijke partners en zorgt voor een kwaliteitsvolle opvolging van deze contacten.

Je gaat actief op zoek naar nieuwe financieringsmogelijkheden, sponsors en partnerships.

Je werkt samen met collega's nieuwe fondsenwervende initiatieven uit en vertaalt onze missie en impact naar aantrekkelijke acties en samenwerkingen.

Je stelt overtuigende samenwerkingsvoorstellen op en presenteert deze aan potentiële partners.

Je schrijft fondsenwervende teksten voor uiteenlopende communicatiekanalen en acties.

Je luistert naar de behoeften van partners en zoekt naar samenwerkingen die een meerwaarde bieden voor alle betrokken partijen.

Je denkt mee na over de verdere uitbouw van een duurzame fondsenwervingsstrategie.

Je coördineert fondsenwervende acties, campagnes en evenementen en zorgt voor een vlotte opvolging.

Je volgt resultaten en doelstellingen op en stuurt bij waar nodig.

Je zorgt voor een correcte administratieve verwerking van contacten, acties en samenwerkingen.

· Je hebt ervaring in relatiebeheer, accountmanagement, business development of een vergelijkbare functie waarin je duurzame relaties uitbouwde en kansen creëerde. Je ervaring met fondsenwerving en binnen de non-profitsector is een pluspunt.

· Je bent bereid om je regelmatig te verplaatsen binnen Vlaanderen en je beschikt dan ook over een rijbewijs B. Occasioneel avond- en weekendwerk schrikken je niet af.
