MR Network Meeting Secondary Education East
Netherlands, DEVENTER
368E MR network meeting Secondary Education East 40 Sector - PO - VO - MBO - HBO - WO&O - PA VO MR network meeting Secondary Education East Location AOb District District Date October 1, 2026 Time 16:00 - 19:30 Region east In this meeting, we will guide you through the CLA mandate regarding the professional dialogue surrounding workload and task policy. Naturally, we will also consider the role you play in this as the Works Council. Work pressure has been a major theme in education for years and has been prominently on the agenda since the new Collective Labour Agreement for Secondary Education (CAO VO). It was agreed in the CAO that the task policy at every school would be reviewed. The goal: to make work pressure more manageable, promote sustainable employability, and strengthen professional autonomy. This calls for a professional dialogue within the school: an open conversation between colleagues about how workload is experienced, which choices in the task policy are helpful, and where adjustments may be needed. It is recommended that this dialogue take place in the 2026-2027 school year. The outcomes can subsequently lead to adjustments in the task policy, which can then be implemented in the 2027-2028 school year. During this Participation Council network meeting, we will guide you through the collective labour agreement mandate regarding the professional dialogue on workload and task policy. We will explore what this mandate concretely means for schools and the role the Participation Council plays in this. How do you ensure that this conversation is well prepared? What information do you need? And how can you, as the Participation Council, contribute to an open, constructive, and supported dialogue? In addition to background information and practical tools, there is ample opportunity to exchange experiences and engage in dialogue. This way, you will go home with more insight into the process and with ...
