FUNCTIE OMSCHRIJVING

For a food manufacturing company in Zottegem, we are looking for an experienced operator to work in a two-shift system.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Puffing Operator: You will be responsible for independently setting up and operating the puffing machines. In doing so, you will take into account factors such as pressure, temperature, and baking time.
  • Mixing Operator: You will be responsible for preparing the grain mixtures. You will ensure that these grain blends are delivered to the correct production lines.
  • Chocolate Operator: You will manage the entire chocolate production process. This includes preparing various chocolate mixtures as well as operating the chocolate-processing machines.
  • Coating Operator: You will ensure that the puffed wafers are coated properly. You will prepare the different coating mixtures and make sure they are applied to the wafers through the various production processes.

In this role, you will take full responsibility for crew planning within your assigned disciplines. You ensure everything runs smoothly — from long-term workforce planning to last-minute solutions.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Creating and managing crew schedules for personnel on board our vessels
  • Acting as the point of contact for superintendents, captains, and shore-based colleagues
  • Collaborating closely with HR, Operations, and the crew members themselves
  • Taking into account experience, certifications, and project requirements
  • Identifying shortages or surpluses in staffing and contributing to solutions
  • Ensuring a fair distribution of experience and opportunities within teams
