About the Department and what they are looking for in this position
The Department of Pharmacy at the University of Oslo is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic and innovative researcher with strong scientific, educational and collaborative skills in pharmacoepidemiology, health data analytics and real-world evidence generation.
The Department has a strong interdisciplinary environment covering key areas of pharmaceutical sciences. Through cutting-edge research, extensive national and international collaborations, and an integrated five-year Master’s programme in Pharmacy, the Department is a leading contributor to pharmaceutical research and education in Norway. We maintain close collaborations with healthcare services, regulatory authorities, public health institutions, and the pharmaceutical and health technology sectors. The successful candidate must be able to teach social pharmacy within the professional pharmacy programme at the Department.

The successful candidate is expected to strengthen the Department’s research in pharmacoepidemiology, health data analytics and AI-enabled real-world evidence generation with a particular emphasis on the innovative use of large-scale healthcare datasets.

Teaching and supervision are important part of the position, and the overall workload is typically balanced between research, teaching and academic leadership.
The Department is a partner in the national research school in epidemiology, EPINOR, through which PhD candidates gain access to specialized courses, networking opportunities, and a broad national research community. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to EPINOR's research and training activities and help strengthen the Department's role within the network.
