Do you know how to keep a cool head in the heat of the moment? Then this vacancy is definitely worth considering. At ROCKWOOL, we are looking for process operators who want to take control of the entire melting process at our furnace (melting temperature 1500 degrees Celsius). You will be responsible for managing all the necessary raw materials required to achieve the correct composition of the final stone wool product. This enables your Line Operator colleagues to produce a high-quality semi-finished or end product.
There is a lot involved in becoming a fully qualified process operator, or furnace operator. But don't worry, you won't be thrown in at the deep end. Instead, you'll receive a good mix of guidance, knowledge transfer, and learning on the job!
Are you eager to start as a furnace operator? Then this is a great opportunity for you!
Your main responsibilities include: -
Starting up the furnace; -
Intervening in case of (imminent/acute) deviations, adjusting the process and taking action independently, within established procedures and regulations; -
Performing quality checks on the furnaces and the process and identifying any deviations; -
Making improvement proposals to optimize the process; -
Actively participating in improvement groups and operator meetings; -
Performing simple maintenance tasks independently.
