C-Level Office (all genders) in Berlin (Kaufmännische Fachkraft)
Homaris
Germany, Berlin
We're building the future of urban stays. One city at a time.Homaris exists to solve one of the most persistent problems in modern cities: People from abroad need places to live, work, and just feel at home. We build and operate fully digitised serviced apartments across Germany´s major cities – next step: Europe and beyond. And a product vision — the nanopartment® — that reimagines what urban stays can look like in the smallest possible space. Revenue triples within two years — organically. No venture capital. No exit strategy. We are in this for the long run, and we build accordingly. Extraordinary people make this happen - and we're looking for one more. Your RoleYou will work directly with the Executive Board. This is not a coordination role. You will be embedded in the decision-making layer of a company that is scaling from a German market leader to a European one. You will know everything that matters, before most people know it matters. You will make things happen that wouldn´t happen without you. This opportunity is designed for someone who has worked successfully in a demanding, fast-moving environment and is ready to take on broad responsibility, contribute at senior level and grow with Homaris. What You'll Do Run the operating rhythm of the Board. You don't just manage schedules — You will bring structure, judgement and momentum to the topics that shape the company. Be the trusted interface to the outside world. Investors, partners, property owners, key clients. You become the person they know, trust, and hear back from quickly. You manage relationships with the same care the Board would — because you represent them. Think ahead. You spot the bottleneck before it forms. You prepare the briefing before it's asked for. You flag the conflict in the calendar three weeks out. You work half a step ahead of everyone else in the room, and you make it look effortless. Drive strategic projects. You don't just support decisions — you contribute to them. You take on cross-functional projects, coordinate between teams, and bring things to a close. You are comfortable owning outcomes, not just tasks. What Makes You a FitYou've supported a C-Level or founder before. In a company where things moved fast and the margin for error was low. You know what it means to be trusted with everything and to earn that trust every day. You're genuinely excited about AI. You already use it to work faster and better. You don't wait for tools to be handed to you. You stay calm under pressure. When things get complicated — and they will — you slow down, think clearly, and help others do the same. Your presence signals that things are under control. Ownership. You see something that needs doing and you do it. You follow through. You don't need to be asked twice. Sharp judgment. You know what matters and what doesn't. You read situations quickly. You know when to act and when to wait. Discretion. You will have access to everything. That comes with responsibility, and you take it seriously. Presence. You are based in Berlin, or ready to be – and you love to work together – in person - because that's how good work happens. The EnvironmentHomaris is a company with the maximum of long-term orientation. We don't burn cash to grow fast and sell. We build something real, and we expect the people who join us to want to build it with us — not to optimise for others. The pace is high. The problems are real. The team is small enough that every person matters. We're not always great at seeing and celebrating our wins. But we're working on it — and we'd love your help with that. What We OfferWe define levels by the work you own and the decisions you're accountable for, not by your title or years of experience. Beyond that: we've thought carefully about what people actually need to do their best work and live well — and we've built a benefits package that reflects that. Health, mobility, development, flexibility, and a few perks that come with being in the travel and hospitality business. Not much is missing. We'll walk you through the details when we meet. Next StepsIf this opportunity resonates with you, we’d be glad to learn more about your experience and perspective. Just send us your CV. Questions? Reach out to Natalie at karriere@homaris.de or +49 157 92465807. We value diversity and welcome applications from people of all genders, cultures and backgrounds. About usHomaris is a leading provider of serviced nano-apartments in prime urban locations and is pioneering a new generation of space-efficient apartment concepts with its nanopartment®. With more than 4,500 apartments secured under contract in cities including Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Cologne, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf and Dresden, Homaris ranks among Germany’s leading serviced-apartment brands. The company serves contemporary customer segments, including business travellers, tourists, digital nomads and corporate clients. The Homaris concept is based on the integration of a fully digitalised guest journey with maximum space efficiency, multifunctional design and intelligent space solutions. The nanopartment® is Homaris’s signature product, embodying innovative space efficiency, modern minimalism and a modular design concept that combines living, working and a sense of arrival within a compact footprint. Rotating, folding and sliding mechanisms allow the space to be reconfigured according to individual needs. In the future, the system is intended to become a standard feature across Homaris’s upcoming properties.

Germany, Mainz am Rhein
PhD student: Plant RNA Biology Kennziffer J174-2026 Bewerbungsfrist 23.9.2026 Eingruppierung EG 13 TV-L Befristung Befristet (3 years) Einsatzort Mainz Umfang 65 % Eintrittsdatum Ab 1.12.2026 The Wachter group at the Institute for Molecular Physiology (Faculty 10: Biology of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz) investigates the molecular mechanisms and biological functions of alternative RNA splicing in plants (https://mps-imp.biologie.uni-mainz.de/ (https://mps-imp.biologie.uni-mainz.de/) ). Our recent work identified a structured mRNA element that regulates specific DEAD-box helicase genes and revealed their critical role in controlling alternative splicing (https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.64898/2026.01.23.701338v1 (https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.64898/2026.01.23.701338v1) ). Intriguingly, these functions appear to be linked to unique C-terminal features of the respective helicases. As member of an interdisciplinary and international research team, you will investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying the splicing-regulatory activity of these DEAD-box helicases, with a particular focus on the functional relevance of RGG motifs, subcellular localisation, and their potential involvement in phase separation. In collaboration with the Weinberg group (University Halle-Wittenberg), you will also explore how helicase targeting of pre-mRNA structural elements may intersect with the binding of splicing regulators to determine splice site choice. Your research will employ a multidisciplinary approach that integrates molecular biology, RNA biochemistry, cell biology, and plant physiology, with Arabidopsis thaliana as the primary model system. You will benefit from extensive expertise, various core facilities, and a completely new research infrastructure. The PhD project is funded by the DFG and can be integrated in the international PhD programme (IPP) in Mainz. Your tasks: - Applying state-of-the-art techniques for gene-specific and genome-wide analyses of RNA biology, including transcriptome-wide profiling of alternative splicing and mapping of protein-RNA interactions - Employing in vitro and in vivo experimental systems to address different levels of complexity and advance our understanding of the biological functions - Contributing to teaching activities for Bachelor’s and Master’s students within our group - Assisting with organizational and administrative tasks - Presenting your research findings in oral and written form, including conference contributions, reports, and manuscripts - Your profile: - A successfully completed scientific university degree in Biology or in a related field - Practical experience with a spectrum of molecular methods - A background in plant molecular biology and/or RNA biology - Very good English language skills (at least level B2) - A fascination for science, very good communication and teamwork skills The position is paid according to EG 13 TV-L and can be filled from 12/01/2026 on. The position is limited initially to a period of 3 years and serves the purpose of academic qualification to obtain a doctorate (PhD). JGU is diverse and welcomes qualified applications from people with various backgrounds. We aim to increase the number of women in the field of research and teaching and therefore encourage female researchers to apply. People with severe disabilities and people with disabilities who are treated equally in accordance with Section 2 (3) SGB IX will be given preferential consideration if they are suitable. Are you ready for a new challenge and interested in this varied and responsible position?
